Why Choose Adoption?

Environmental Impact: Bees play a key role in our ecosystem. When you adopt, you help support pollination, biodiversity, and sustainable food production here in Kent.

Support Local: You support a family-run business that has cared for bees and made quality honey since 2018. Each adoption helps us grow in a responsible way.

Corporate Sustainability: If you run a business, adopting a hive is a great way to show your customers you care about the environment and boost your sustainability efforts.

A True Connection: Rather than just making a donation, you’ll get honey, personal thanks, and the peace of mind that your hive is cared for by dedicated beekeepers.

How It Works

When you adopt a hive, we'll set it up in one of our selected apiaries in Kent. We take care of everything all year, from feeding and pest control to hive maintenance, so your bees stay healthy. You'll receive honey deliveries and regular updates about your hive. Additionally, adopters are welcome to visit their hive and participate in our seasonal beekeeping workshops, offering a chance to engage directly with our bee family and learn more about the important work we do.

Adoption lasts for 12 months. At the end of the year, you're welcome to renew or invite someone new to join our bee-loving circle. If you choose not to renew, rest assured that your hive remains in the care of our dedicated team, contributing to local biodiversity and pollination efforts. This way, your initial contribution continues to have a positive impact on our environment.

  • We will contact you within a few days with a welcome email outlining the following steps to set up your hive. Adopting a Hive with Foxes Honey does not confer any right of ownership to the beehive adopter. The Honeybees, the hive and all the equipment remain the property of Foxes Honey. Adopting a hive does not grant any right to access the land upon which the adopted beehive is located, and adopters have no access to the land or the adopted beehive without the consent and presence of Foxes Honey. The income Foxes Honey receives from the Adopt a Hive scheme helps secure the future of honeybees and helps with the upkeep of the bees. The money is not refundable as it will have been spent on purchasing the hive, signage, bees and upkeep. Monies given to Foxes Honey are donations to help the bees. The donation is required before the period it is designed to cover. Visitors to the hives must always comply with Gwenyn Gruffydd's instructions. Your safety and that of the bees is paramount to us.
